System Requirements

Supported operating systems: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP

Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook can be installed on computers that have any combination of the following:

Windows operating systems:

  • Windows 7 (both 64-bit and 32-bit versions)
  • Windows Vista (both 64-bit and 32-bit versions)
  • Windows XP with SP3
  • Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2003 when running with Remote Desktop Services (formerly Terminal Services)
Microsoft Office:
  • Microsoft Office 2010 (32 or 64-bit versions)
  • Microsoft Office 2007 (32-bit versions)
  • Microsoft Office 2003 SP3 (32-bit versions)

Important things to check first

  • Windows Updates are Up to Date
  • Windows live Essential is Installed Click Here
  • Uninstall Microsoft Frontpage as this will cause compatibility issues
  • Windows 8 Enterprise Right Click on Start Button and Navigate to Control Panel then Programs and Features.  Navigate to Turn Windows Features On or Off.  Go down the List and make sure there is a tick in the box next to Windows Identity Foundation 3.5.

Check Office System is 32 or 64 bit in Office 2010 Only

  • Click top Left FILE
  • Scan down the left hand menu to Help and click
  • On the Right hand Side you will see the information see screen shot below:-

Download Outlook Client for CRM

  • Click Here to navigate to Microsoft Download site
  • Choose Version CRM2011-Client-ENU-i386.exe
  • If Office 2010 64 Bit Choose Version CRM2011-Client-ENU-amd64.exe
  • Once Outlook Client is downloaded and installed open Outlook and click to configure.
  • The system will ask you for a URL in the right hand side of this box there is an arrow click on this and drop down to CRM Online.  Click Test Connection enter your username and password then the CRM client will configure.
  • Should you get an error please read through the above to check all the actions have been completed if further errors then contact Microsoft Technical Number below.
